O’scià event – Claudio Baglioni – Lampedusa

From mid-2003 to 2012 in Lampedusa, the maestro Claudio Baglioni has created a cultural event whose goal was to raise awareness for national and international immigration and everything related to migrants who move from Lampedusa and that here also died in a tragic way. This shows the site of the foundation O’scià about the same:

The event, followed by a record audience and all the major national and local news media, was soon credited as the most important artistic / musical event with a social background in our country and, in perspective, in Europe. O’SCIA ‘deserved the High Patronage of the Presidency of the Republic, the Patronage of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies, Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Policies Youth, Ministry of European Policies, Ministry of the Environment, Municipality of Lampedusa and Linosa and the Sicilian Region, O’SCIA also received the greetings and blessing of His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI and received the support of prestigious international organizations such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNCHR) and Amnesty International, in addition to the Patronage of the Vice President of the Commission and European, and in Europe, Baglioni presented the fourth edition, with an extraordinary concert in the Plenary Hall of the European Parliament in Brussels. A concert preceded by a press conference and a debate with representatives of European countries, to reaffirm Europe’s central role in giving life to policies able to guarantee stability, security, peace and development, both for the basin Mediterranean, as well as for the peoples and countries of the Union.
